BizCardCalc is a free calculator for small-business owners who want to know what a business credit card's rewards are actually worth for their own spending. Many card pages lead with a large percentage. We think the more useful question is how many dollars that percentage produces once your real spending, the annual fee and the fine print are counted.
We publish one calculator and a set of plain-language guides around it. You enter monthly spending in five groups (travel, dining, office and software, advertising, and everything else), a bonus rate, a base rate and an annual fee. The calculator returns the estimated annual rewards, the fee and the net value, with a table showing every step. The guides explain how rewards work, how business cards connect to personal credit, how to compare flat-rate and category cards, how to find an annual fee's break-even point and why carrying a balance changes the math.
It is built for owners of small businesses, freelancers and sole proprietors who are comparing business cards for the first time. We assume no background. If a term needs explaining, we explain it, and we show the arithmetic so you can check it.
Our methods are written down on the methodology page, including what the formula leaves out. Statements about regulations and credit reporting are checked against official sources and softened or removed when we cannot verify them. The calculator runs in your browser, as described in the privacy policy.
