This page explains how BizCardCalc, operated by Numerlyn LLC, is funded, how we keep the calculator independent of that funding, and how we will handle any future changes.
As of this page's last update, BizCardCalc has no affiliate, referral or sponsorship arrangement with any card issuer, bank, card network or credit-related company, and we receive no payment from any of them. The site does not use affiliate links. We do not name specific cards or issuers as recommendations, and we do not list current card offers.
The site is free to use. We may in the future display advertising, for example through Google AdSense, once it is enabled. If that happens, ads will be shown separately from the calculator and articles, they will not change the calculation or results, and we will update our privacy policy accordingly. Ads that appear are chosen by the ad service, and their appearance is not an endorsement by us.
If we ever earn money when someone applies for or uses a financial product through a link on this site, we will say so next to that link, in clear words, before you click, and we will update this page. We will also keep the formula in the calculator the same for everyone and will not rank or favor a product because it pays us.
Articles and examples are written to teach the arithmetic of card rewards. Numbers in examples are shown with their working so you can check them. Statements about law and regulation are checked against official sources such as the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (consumerfinance.gov), the U.S. Small Business Administration (sba.gov) and the Federal Trade Commission (ftc.gov), and where we could not verify something, we say it varies or we leave it out. Dates and figures that depend on a year are labeled.
We use "independent" in a narrow, factual sense: no card issuer or advertiser pays us, reviews our work in advance or influences how the calculator works. It does not mean the site is a substitute for professional advice, nor that we have reviewed every product on the market. We review none by name.
If you believe something on the site is wrong or out of date, write to contactnumerlyn@gmail.com with the page and a source if you have one. We will review it and correct the page when we confirm the error.
